Little Falcons 

WFCS offers Little Falcons Preschool (three year olds) & Pre-Kindergarten (four & five year olds) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for a half day (8:25am - 11:45am) or full day (8:25 - 3:00) program. With a thematic, hands-on approach, we provide a loving learning environment for God's littlest, while preparing them for an academic Kindergarten at WFCS.

Our daily routine includes: Discovery Play, Arts & Crafts, Circle Time, Music & Movement, Reading, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Numbers, Letter of the Week, Bible & Devotions, Centers/Small Groups, Outdoor Play, and Meal time & more!

LITERACY CENTERS: The Reading Street Scott Foresman curriculum provides a choice of activities for the students.  The Literacy Center invites students to construct, experiment, pretend and spend time with a book.  All Literacy Centers have been developed to meet state objectives for the Preschool aged child while creating a love for learning and literature! Small group, large group and independent play may include:  Book Corner, Discovery Center, Math, Science, Social Studies, blocks, puzzles and dramatic play.

SMALL GROUP TIME: Groups of four or five students will work together with the a teacher or learning assistant to reinforce and enhance skills and content from the week’s whole-group instruction, as well as address objectives for Social Studies, Science, Math, Art, Music & Health.

HANDS ON WRITING CENTERS: Children will begin using pre-writing skills through hands-on activities and develop early handwriting skills and strengthen fine motor skills.

AFTERNOON HIGHLIGHTS: Afternoon highlights will include; open ended learning centers, exploration, enrichment actvities as well as specials such as; Physical Education, Music and Library.
